These upper shock mounts are made to give back an inch of suspension travel that is lost when lowering the car. They are made to accept OEM replacement shocks and OEM replacement lowering springs, along with all replacement bushings and bumpstops, although a shorter than OEM bumpstop will increase the benefit gained by these mounts.
